Abstract

This study presents the influence of material composition and fabric cover
factorson moisture management properties of some khaki fabrics produced in
Vietnam. The research results show that moisture management properties of fabric
mainly depend on material composition and area cover factor, volumetric cover
factor. The higher the percentage of cotton content, the better moisture
management properties of fabric, the higher the percentage of polyester content,
the less moisture management properties of fabric. For fabrics with the same ratio of
PeCo material composition, if the area cover factor is lower, moisture management
properties of fabric will be better. The volumetric cover factor impacts the one-way
transport index of fabric containing mostly cotton. This will provide a scientific basis
for fabric manufacturers to design textile technology parameters to meet the
comfort requirements of khaki fabric according to the intended use of consumers.
