SELECTION OF MATERIAL GEAR MANUFACTURING BY CURLI METHOD

Abstract

CURLI (Collaborative Unbiased Rank LIst) is a multi-criteria decision-making
method that does not require normalizing the data or determining the weights
for the criteria. The CURLI method was utilized to select the gear material in this
study. Two distinct cases are discussed in this article: the selection of gear
materials for heavy loads and the selection of materials for gears with medium
loads. In both cases, the ratings of gear materials by the CURLI method were
compared with the ratings using other multi-criteria decision-making methods.
The results demonstrate that the CURLI method can ensure reliability when used
to select gear materials.
