EFFECT OF BRA’S STRUCTURE ON PRESSURE AND PRESSURE COMFORT

Abstract

Pressure and pressure comfort of a women's bra are very important to the
wearer's perception. There are many factors that affect bra pressure and comfort,
such as bra size, breast shape and size, wearer's activity, duration of wear, and
environmental conditions. This article presents the results of research on the
influences of bra structures on pressure and pressure comfort of women's 75B
Triump bra for young women. Bra pressures at 14 positions were measured with
the PB228 device on 5 bras of size 75B with the same wearer. Pressure comforts
at 6 points in time were evaluated subjectively by the wearing testing. The results
show that the bra structures have significant effected on the pressures at the
measurement positions and the pressure comforts of the bras. Bra pressure
comfort decreases with wearing time.
