Abstract

This work describes how the Plackett-Burman screening test method is used
in the design of experiments to assess the primary influencing factors on the
7.62mm PKMS machine gun's shoulder point when shooting. The gun rack mass,
front rack length, shooter biomechanics, shoulder rest position, and uneven
stiffness of the gun foundation at two back racks are included in the factors
examined. The article's findings indicate that the shooter's biomechanics, the
front rack's length, and the uneven stiffness of the foundation are the three
primary factors that influence the displacement of the shoulder point while
shooting. The experimental results in this study are an important basis in the
process of designing, manufacturing, and improving technical weapons and
equipment in Vietnam.
