Abstract

The paper focuses on studying dynamic vibrations in a nondimensional field
using a quarter-car model and governing equations. The analysis of vibrations is
conducted in the frequency response domain considering both the no-contact and
in-contact states. The study explores the limits of tire-road contact phenomena
and identifies a series of separation points that form the separation boundary,
which divides the plane into separation and contact zones. The study examines
how suspension parameters influence the separation zone, aiming to offer
valuable guidance to designers in making informed choices when selecting
suspension parameters. The objective is to ensure the desired tire-road
interaction, which ultimately improves vehicle dynamics and safety.
