SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This paper aims to present a conceptual framework to clarify the role of social
responsibility and sustainable development of universities. By method of
literature review and content analysis from research works related to the concept
of social responsibility, sustainable development and different aspects; close
relationship between social responsibility and sustainable development and the
role of universities in strengthening this relationship. At the end of the paper,
some recommendations are given to ensure the enhancement of the role of
universities in social responsibility to achieve and support sustainable
development efforts.
