THE RELEVANCE OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION ON FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND ENTERPRISE VALUE: STUDY IN VIETNAM
Abstract
The article examines the appropriateness of accounting information on
financial statements (financial statements) and corporate value. The study uses
tabular data with 5706 observations, in companies listed on the Vietnamese stock
market in the period of 2009 - 2019. Multivariate regression results detect the
appropriateness of accounting information tends to increases, but has a negative
effect on firm value. In addition, the size of the firm has a positive effect on the
enterprise value, on the contrary, capital structure has a negative relationship on
the enterprise value when measured by EV. The empirical research results are a
useful basis for businesses to have solutions to improve the usefulness of
information on financial statements, thereby enhancing enterprise value.
