STUDY ON SIMULATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF GASOLINE - ALCOHOL MIXTURE ON THE ENGINE STRUCTURE USING CARBURETOR

Abstract

Currently, Vietnam is using gasoline fuel mixed with ethanol at a low rate 5%,
aiming to raise the athanol ratio a higher level from 10 - 20% or higher, there must
be a reseach process to determine the effects of that fuel mixture on the work
feature, emission, lifespan… in many working modes, different speed ranges.
Therefore, this article ures AVL Boost softnare to simulation results such as power,
emission, fuel consumption rate as well as combustion characteristics of the engine
when using the above two types of fuel. From there, it is possible to partially
evaluate the advantages of using new fuel on current gasoline engines as well as
recommendtion on changes in the structure of the old engines using carburetors to
ensure the best economic and technical performance when using the fuel mixture.
