DETERMINING OF FATIGUE LIMIT OF PART SUBJECTED MULTIAXIAL STRESSES BY NUMERICAL METHOD

Abstract

This paper presents the results of calculating the fatigue limit of the part
subjected multiaxial stresses by numerical method. The multiaxial stress field of
the part is equivalently converted to the stress field used in the calculation on the
basis of different criteria, these evaluation criteria have been commonly used to
determine the fatigue properties of part subjected multiaxial stresses.
Calculation results are compared with published test results and international
standard, through comparison, it is shown which evaluation criteria are most
suitable for fatigue limit assessment for complex stressing part.
