VIETNAM INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT - VIEW FROM GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS INDICATOR (GCI)

Abstract

The investment environment plays a very important role in the existence
and development of businesses. Therefore, to promote economic
development, in recent years, the Government has issued many important
resolutions, most recently, Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP 2019 sets a target for the
whole year 2021. Thanks to that, thousands of barriers to investment and
business activities are removed, the quality of the business investment
environment and national competitiveness have been clearly improved.
Significantly, Vietnam's ranking in the world economic forum rankings has
changed significantly. However, the business investment environment of
Vietnam still has many limitations on institutions, the quality of human
resources or indexes related to innovative technology to adapt to the 4.0
revolution. By the method of statistics, analysis, the study analysis of
Vietnam's investment environment through the perspective of the Global
competitiveness index to make some proposals to contribute to further
improving the investment environment of Vietnam.
