A SOLUTION FOR ACCURACY IMPROVEMENT OF WATER FLOW MEASUREMENT BASED ON YF-S401 SENSOR IN DRINK MIXER MACHINE

Abstract

Drink mixer machines are present in many drinking shops as well as in many
families. In these machines, besides the hygiene and food safety, the precision of
water flow measurement is considered as the most important. Due to the fact that
drink mixer machines need to be kept at a reasonable cost, using expensive water
flow sensor to satisfy the mentioned requirement is not feasible. Recently, the
water flow sensor named YF-S401 has been utilized in many drink mixer machines.
This paper proposes a solution for accuracy improment of water flow measurement
using YF-S401 based on two tasks: (i) noise suppresion at the output of sensor and
(ii) sensor calibration. The experimental results showed that our proposal helps to
drammatically improve the water flow measurement performance.
