Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of collaborative culture
and knowledge sharing on the competitive advantage of Vietnamese small and
medium hotels. This study utilized the structural equation modeling (SEM) and
data collected from 135 managers in small and medium hotels in Vietnam to
analyze and quantify the relationship between factors in the research model.
Cronbach’s Alpha testing methods, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and linear
regression are used to test the reliability of the scales and the relationship
among the latent factors in the research model. The findings show that the
collaborative culture and knowledge sharing of hotel employees induce a
positive impact on hotels' competitive advantage. The research results
emphasize the need to build and develop a positive cultural environment in the
spirit of cooperation to foster knowledge sharing activities, thereby improving
and enhancing the hotel’s competitive advantage in the long term.
