Abstract

Investigating the domestic wastewater treatment by MBBR technology
using biochip M is operated at five Organic loading rate (OLR) (0,48; 0,64; 0,96;
1,5; and 2kg COD/m3.day) to search the highly effective method that can be
applied for small treatment scale such as dormitory. The experimental results
indicate that all OLR < 1kg COD/m3.day achieve a high removal efficiency and are
lower than type A levels of the Vietnamese technique standard QCVN
14:2008/BTNMT; The Hydraulic retention time (HRT) is 6 hours; Besides, the
technology also can reduce NO3- concentration during aeration condition in MBBR
tank. Therefore the system does not need to have an anoxic tank. The result is
essential to apply in domestic wastewater treatment.
