APPLICATION OF THAI ETHNIC APPAREL TO WOMEN'S STREETWEAR DESIGN IN HANOI

Abstract

Fashion is always an inevitable trend nowadays. Fashion designers are always
researching to maintain the traditional culture. However, the application of
Vietnamese's dresses ethnic groups in fashion design is still limited. The method of
applying Thai ethnic clothes to the design for women's streetwear in Hanoi is
presented in this article. The survey method is carried out, through which
information on customer needs is collected. Next, traditional clothes combined the
trend to apply in spring-summer women's streetwear in Hanoi were studied. As the
results, the collection of women's streetwear design was highly appreciated by the
customers and achieved the research goal. This research has created products of
applicability, promoting and preserving the traditional culture, raising the value of
preserving the Vietnamese’s wearable culture.
