STUDY TO IMPROVE THE FUEL CAM PROFILE OF AN ONE CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE

Abstract

The paper presents the research results to improve fuel cam profile to
improve economic and technical features and emissions of 1 cylinder diesel
engine. The studies were carried out on RV-165 single cylinder diesel engine
with modified fuel cam profile. The research was conducted on AVL-Boost
software in combination with AVL-Hydsim. The results show that the economic
and technical performance and engine emissions are improved when the fuel
cam profile is improved. The outcomes of this study will be an important basis for
the design process to improve the fuel cam profile of the RV-165 engine.
