RESEARCH PASSIVE PROCESS TO PROTEC TEMPORARY SURFACE OF SELF SELECTED COPPER PIPE BY BENZOTRIAZOLE

Abstract

The study of passive process to protec temporary of self-selected copper
pipe by BTA will be presented in this article. The input material is a machined
copper tube with 22mm spiral groove, CC1220 label, JIS H3300 standard and
broaching two ends, annealing to de-stress in the atmosphere environment.
After being annealed, activated and electrochemical-polishing, passive copper
tubes are soaked to protect the surface by BTA. The study will investigate the
effect of the concentration of BTA and the time of immersion with the passive
process to protec the surface of copper pipes. Two factors of interest in this
process are the increase and decrease in the mass and color of copper pipes.
