Abstract

Psychological capital has been an interesting topic to scientists for the past
decade, that is one of the important competitive tools in improving productivity.
This topic has only lately begun to be of interest to international researchers and
policy makers/sdministrators in recent years, while other competitive factors such
as finance and technology are approaching saturation. This is still a fairly new topic
in Vietnam. In this study, the authors assess impacts of psychological capital and
self-determination on job performance. Through the structural modeling test
(SEM), the results show that both psychological capital and autonomy affects job
performance with a 5% significance level. SEM also shows that the impact of
psychological capital is very strong compared to self-determination.
