Abstract

New vehicles are equipped with a control system that automatically on-off
headlamps according to the intensity of the light outside the vehicle and
automatically switches to the main mode when the vehicle detects an obstacle.
In this paper, author carries out simulator research that automatically switches
the headlight on and automatically switches the car's lighting on with the
Proteus and CodevisionAVR software. Proteus software is used for circuit
simulation and CodevisionAVR software is used to write control programs. In this
study microcontroller use is Atmega16. The simulation results show that the
controller calculates the light intensity signal sent from the light sensor with a
mean error of 0.49%. Automatic turn on the headlight when dark and automatic
turn off the headlight when it is light. Control turn off the hight beem and turn
on the low beem when detecting vehicles in the opposite direction.
