Abstract

67Ni18Cr5Si4B alloy powder is coated on C45 steel substrate by high
velocity oxygen-fuel method (HVOF) with a coating thickness of about 0.5mm.
The properties of coatings including hardness and microstructure was studied
and analyzed. The results show that the micro hardness of the alloy coating is
greater than that of the substrate, and combined with the analysis of
microstructure by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confirms the quality of
coating through border region linking the coating to the substrate.
