BAC GIANG TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR LANG SON - HA NOI

Abstract

Bac Giang province known as an area with many beauty sites and unique
historical relics. Recently, Vinh Nghiem pagoda’s Buddhist woodblocks (at Tri
Yen commune, Yen Dung district) have been recognized by UNESCO as a world
documentary heritage. Yen The Cluster Uprising has been ranked as a special
national relic. These surely demonstrate the potentials and advantages of Bac
Giang in tourism development. In fact, however, tourism industry in Bac Giang is
facing a lot of difficulties and challenges. The tourism itself hasn’t made great
contributions to the province’s budget. Bac Giang is still a low point in
nationwide tourism map. Yet, with the variety of potential and proximity of
strongly developing regions, Bac Giang’s tourism will get new chances if it can
make use of its own strength and associates with the neighbourhood. Cooperation is an objective demand and essential trend for Bac Giang to be a locally
economic sector and a turning point for the poor to better their lives.
