ANALYSIS, ASSESSMENT OF AMMONIUM, NITRITE, NITRATE, COD, TSS IN SURFACE WATER ON T3, T5, T6 CANAL IN VIET YEN, YEN DUNG DISTRICT OF BAC GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

Water plays a very important role for humans as well as for any organism on
the earth. Increasing sources of waste, especially wastewater while the capacity
of treatment is still limited, has increased and polluted water sources, as Viet
Yen, Yen Dung are two districts in Bac Giang province are polluted heavily. This
research presents results of analysis assessment of Ammonium, Nitrite, Nitrate,
COD, TSS in surface water on T3, T5, T6 canal in Viet Yen, Yen Dung district.
Analysis of results showed that according to QCVN 08-MT: 2015 / BTNMT, water
samples which analyzed with NH4+_N content exceeded standards from 1.7 to
22.3 times, NH4+_N average content was 6.93mg/l; The content of NO2-_N at
many points exceeded the allowable limits from 1.4 to 44 times, NO2-_N average
content was 0.54mg/l; The content of NO3-_N in most surface water samples is
within acceptable limits, except that some points exceed the permitted limit
from 3 to 18 times; COD content: 22 - 205mg/l; TSS content: 3-78mg/l.
