STUDY ON PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF SERIAL HYBRID PROTOTYPE

Abstract

This paper presents results sudy on performance characterstics of serial hybrid prototype. The basic parameters of the serial hybrid system are determined experimentally such as the brake power and torque as function of speed; battery discharge over time and relationship between the battery charging power, motor power and out put power from the generator. In order to take a step into hybrid technology in Vietnam, this study is helpful in development research in automotive technology. In addition, this study provides helpful document and equipment for improving education quality in automotive, mechatronics majors.
