Researching and surveying some factors influencing the dyeing process of Eriofast Reactive dyes used for dyeing polyamide fabrics

Abstract

The effects of some factors on the dyeing process of Eriofast Reactive
Dyes used for dyeing polyamide fabrics were studied through the use
of three basic dyes (red, navy blue, black) at difference
concentrations. Dyed fabric samples were color-measured on the
spectrophotometer to determine the reflection spectrum-R at their
wavelength λmax and then the K/S values were calculated from R
values, the color uniformity was determined by ΔE values. The
purpose of this study was to select the concentration of CaCl2 salts,
the dyeing time and the optimal acid concentration for reactive dyes
used to dye polyamide fabrics.
