An experimental research of drying the agricultural products and herbs to evaluate and complete the electric-solar integrated dryer

Abstract

This study was conducted by using the electric and solar integrated dryer. The
test was carried out to evaluate the stability of the drying temperature and to
evaluate the heating time in different conditions of insulation and moisture
exhaustion. Additionally, the study was conducted to determine the effects of
moisture exhaust modes on the drying results. The results showed that the
accuracy of the drying temperature of the machine is quite high at 99.2%, the
heating time varies in different conditions, with an infrared light ouput of
1050W, two-layer insulation, controlling of the speed of the moisture exhaust
fan provided the fastest heating and the most heat conserving. During the
drying process, the drying efficiency is the hightest when the speed of the
moisture exhaust fan is controlled proportionally to the humidity of the drying
air from 15% to 60%. The test results are used to improve the dryer as well as
to increase the efficiency of the drying of the agricultural products and herbs.
