Calculating the temperature field of marine gas turbine engines’ nozzle blades

Abstract

Cooling technology for turbine blades has been constantly improved in
order to overcome the issue of increasing airflow temperature in front
of the turbine. To evaluate the various cooling options in designing, it
is necessary to determine temperature field of the turbine blades,
which directly contact with the hot air. This article builds a heat
transfer model using ANSYS CFX package in order to calculate the
temperature field of the nozzle blades of a marine gas turbine DR 76
engine’s high-pressure turbine.
