Research of the manufacturing of open power flow test stands to test the durabilityof cardan shaft in light trucks’ transmission systems

Abstract

This article presents the research on the manufacturing of open power
flow test stand which are driven by type IVECO diesel motor and the
MP100S load making mechanism to test the durability of cardan shaft in
transmission systems on light trucks. The experiment changed structural
parameters such as: Tilt angles of Cardan shaft in the vertical plane (α);
Length of Cardan shaft (L) and Turnround speed (n) at load modes
corresponding to the actual vehicle load modewhile the vehicle is on the
road. The results of the experiments have determined the value of the
velocity and strain on the shaft in the above cases. The experiment’s
results can be used as reference material for the design and
manufacturing of durable cardan shafts.
