Structural optimization of gantry CNC router using genetic algorithm method

Abstract

The dynamic properties of the gantry structure directly affect the overall
rigidity of the CNC machine and machining precision. Therefore, Structural
optimization of gantry CNC machine plays an important role in the design
of the machine. This article presents the optimization of the gantry CNC
machine structure using multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA). Then
perform a hamonic analysis to determine the displacement of the spindle
head corresponding to the different cutting parameters. The displacement of
the spindle head is compared with the experimental method. With the result
achieved, it will increase the rigidity, improve the vibration resistance of the
machine structure in order to improve the reliability, machining precision
and achieve the best surface quality.
