The optimization of pressed screw profile used in sawdust press machine

Abstract

Pressed screw is an important componentofsawdust press machines
used to produce pressed wood sticks before sintering to form
smokeless coal products. In actual production, pressed screw
components bear high friction and temperature, lead to very fast wear
(about 50 to 60 working hours to replace a new one). The wear pattern
for this pressed screw usually results in profile misalignment leading
to a loss of productivity or product quality. Therefore, the research on
optimal profile will increase the working lifetime of the pressed screw
and the quality of product.
