A method in averagge-laser scanning for measurement shape of grinding wheel

Abstract

Surface quality when machined by grinding depends on the shape of
the grinding wheel surface. Therefore, if the characteristics of the
grinding wheel surface are determined, it will facilitate the machining
of the machine surface as required. This paper presents methods of
measuring surface shape of grind wheel by non contact method using
laser scanner. The method of detecting the surface height of the
measurement conducted with the main lens (active lens) is kept
constant. From the experimental results found that the method
presented in this study allows the measurement of surface roughness
with high accuracy.
