INVESTIGATION ON RELIABILITY OF ELECTRICAL INSULATION SYSTEMS FOR LOW-VOLTAGE MOTORS FED BY PWM INVERTERS

Abstract

The quality of insulation has been detailed and investigated for three types of stators designed to turbomachines and fans of new generation aircraft. The technique used for experimental investigations consists of partial discharge inception voltage measures. A particular attention has been paid to the impacts of sizing and environmental constraints on the reliability of insulation systems.
