IMPACT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION TO BUSINESS REGISTRATION TIME: RESEARCH ON PROVINCIAL COMPETITIVENESS INDEX 2017 DATA
Abstract
Information technology is a factor affecting the management of both the private and public sectors. Information technology application to help provinces improve the competitive advantage, attract investment and improve the efficiency of governance. This research investigates the impact of information technology application and time of business registration including new registration and changing registration. Using secondary data of 63 provinces and cities in Provincial Competitiveness Index PCI 2017 data, this study analyzes data through linear regression and descriptive statistics. The results show negatively significant impact of good information technology application to time of changing business registration. However, the results indicate that are not statistically significant about the negative impact of good information technology application to time of business registration.
