INVESTIGATION ON BREAKDOWN STRENGTH AND DC CONDUCTION CURRENT OF STANDARD PEI VARNISH AND PEI VARNISH WITH MICRO AND NANO SIO2

Abstract

In this paper, breakdown strength and DC conduction current of standard PEI varnish and PEI varnish with micro and nano SiO₂ are mesured and analysed. Experimental results have shown that both dielectric strength and conduction current are affected by SiO₂ fillers. The varnish with micro SiO₂ exhibits the worst characteristics.
