Abstract

In the trend of integration with other countries in the world, learning foreign languages, especially English, is very necessary for students at universities. However, unlike English major students, most non-English major students find it really hard for them because they lack the motivation, learning method, self-learning ability, aptitude and language skills. On the other hand, the effort and time that non-English major students spend on learning English is not much and so they have not yet achieved the results they desire. The purpose of this article is to suggest some solutions to help non-English major students improve their self-learning, self-studying ability while learning English as a common subject in the whole university.
