Abstract

Vietnam is in tropical zone with hot and humid climate, so flora and fauna thrive. With a 3,260 km long coastline, it runs through 13 latitudes from north to south, and many of  its water bodies are facilities and a huge source of economic resources for the country. In the period 2011-2016, the fishery GDP growth rate was 4,46%/ year, contributing 0,19% to the economic growth. When it comes to the economic benefits of fisheries, we can not fail to take into account the role of algae, as the productivity of water ecosystems is always tied to the composition and biomass of aleae This article presents the role of algae in aquatic ecosystems, in research and the role of algae in life.
