Abstract

Through evidences of folk verses in the Southern Vietnam, the article points out the symbolic language of the literary are body parts words are mainly used rhetorical devices metaphor metonymy and metaphtonymy. Thereby, the article also contributed to decode the useful information about emotional life, the way of thinking of the folk verses of Vietnamese southerners.
