Hồ Văn Hảo – Làn gió xanh của thơ mới Nam Bộ

Abstract

    Ho Van Hao came to literature from the early days of reform movements in poetry which were conceived in the Southern regions with his youthful, aggressive, assertive and drastic mind. He worked closely on the Southern poetries from the very beginning, the early movements periods towards its first achivements to its end's successes. Ho Van Hao always aspires his poetryto revel his soulauthentically.  From this aspiration, he contributed to the creation of a New Southern Poetry, a romantic poetry which praised sweet love, naivety, shyness, sympathy and sharing. Upon reaching the cognitive maturity, preoccupating about the country, the present situation and compatriots, Ho Van Hao turned his pen to the real world of life with a separate entrance bearing the stamp which was reflecting the people and culture of the lands of the South, created the poems dyeing the state of affairs,"indefinite passion for life". The changing in Ho Van Hao poetry laid in the extended sense of lyricism from inward wich was focusing on expressing personal ego towards the sense of outward, concerning in the issues and the fate of nation community. The changing did not make Ho Van Hao's poetry drifting apart from The New Poetry, however on the contrary, it had extended in a very natural way, contributing to the process of  national literature modernization
