Koha open source integrated library management software for Vietnam library system

Abstract

       In recent about 10 years, integrated library systems (trade products), supplied by domestic and foreign software companies, have been applied and brought real benefits for resource managemen, automation of library processes in Vietnam. The development of IT, Internet, information exchange and communication  forms in flat world is creating firm conditions for forming and developing open source integrated library management systems with the contribution of library and IT communities throughout the world. Among these systems, Koha is being widely used in the world. Owing to its advantages in standard, ability, friendliness in use and exploitation, reasonable expenditure for development in Vietnamese library systems, Koha is a feasible choice among other commercial softwares
