FIGURATIVE WORDS OF COLOR IN COMPARISON BETWEEN VIETNAMESE AND CHINESE LANGUAGE

Abstract

In short, figurative words of color are not the ways to create new words that enrich the vocabulary source of color, but they are also the ways that man identifies and expresses the natural world. Two countries, China and Vietnam, having many things in common in terms of culture and language. However, how closed they are, there are differences in people’s outlook to the natural world. By the comparison of figurative words of color, it points out that both similarities and differences in the ways to form new words and man’s point of view to the natural world between Chinese and Vietnamese language.
