A CONTRASTIVE STUDY ON COLOR WORDS IN ENGLISH – VIETNAMESE AND APPLYING IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

On the basis of understanding the formation and sematic progression of color terms, the formation mechanism of color symbols are clarified and similarities and differences of between English and Vietnamese terms of colors are compared and exploited in teaching English language.
