CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GROWTH OF UPENEUS SULPHUREUS (Cuvier & Valenciennes, 1829) COASTAL QUANG BINH PROVINCE

Abstract

This paper presents the research findings on the characteristics of the growth of Upeneus sulphureus. With 368 samples were collected in the coastal of Quang Binh province from October 2010 to September 2011, by the basic research methods, the experimental results have showed that the growth characteristics of Upeneus sulphureus  correlating between the length and weight is W = 7943,28.10-8.L2,646 (Berverton – Holt); length and weight Lt=237,27[1–e-0,248( t + 2,77)], Wt = 148,73[1-e-0,06(t+1,147)]2,646 (Von Bertalanffy). Furthermore, the age structure of captured fishing is mainly less than age 1+, below the age of fish. The growth rate gains a remarkable increase for the first two years, followed by a decline trend.
