NARRATIVE VIEW POINT IN SUMMER HORIZON NOVEL OF HUU PHUONG

Abstract

One of the key points and also the challenges of the writer when creating art are to choose an appropriate place, and view point to tell the story. Applying the theory of narrative view point to the work “Horizons summer", we are trying to demonstrate the method for multiple points of view of the writer Huu Phuong. It is the flexibility to move the point of view of art from the outside to inside and vice versa, from this character to other characters, from this space to other space, from the present to the past, the recent past, and suddenly returning to the present. The “Summer Horizon” is blended, crossed, rotated, and shifted from different narrative viewpoints to go deeply into every corner of life, creating multifaceted and hierarchical works.
