SOME IMPACT FROM BUDDHIST IMPROVING MOVEMENT CENTRAL ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAMESE BUDDHISM

Abstract

The Buddhist improving movement in the central region which took place in the early decades of the 20^th century was one of the prominent phenomena in Vietnamese historical ideology in modern time. It has been created a new turning point in promoting the development of Vietnamese Buddhism in the next decades. This article focuses on the analysis and presentation some basic impact from Buddhist improving movement in the central area on the development of Buddhism in Vietnam. It thereby makes contributions to the sources in order to enrich the features of our nationally ideological history taken in the 20^th century.
