AN ANALYSIS ON THE PATTERN OF INVERSION BEGINNING WITH ADVERBS OR ADVERB PHRASES IN ENGLISH

Abstract

Inversion in English is a complicated grammatical phenomenon in linguistics and it usually attracts language learners’ and teachers’ interest in various aspects. There are a lot of types of English inversion and various ways of usage. The article describes and analyses the features of syntax and the usage of the patterns of inversion beginning with adverbs or adverb phrases in English in order to help teachers and students have an overview on patterns of inversion in English and determine the ways to use them effectively in everyday communication.
