SELECTION OF TREE SPECIES CREATING GREEN BELT CAPABLE OF THE BEST FIRE PROTECTION ON THE BASIC OF CRITERIA RANKING BY RANKING METHOD

Abstract

Different tree species have their different fire-catching capabilities which depend on the biological characteristics of the species. Fires which are at fast or slow speed depend largely on the fire - catching ability of tree leaves and bark. The article focus on the criteria for ability to the fire resistance of leaves and bark and quantifying under the standard by ranking method of tree species creating the current popular fire breaks are the scientific basis for selection of which tree species capable of the best fire protection by the forestry production/business units.
