Abstract

Flavonoids are a group of compounds with many biological activities such as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effects and positive benefits for human health. This study was conducted to determine the effects of the solvent and ultrasonic waves on the flavonoid extraction of  from Glinus oppositifolius. The extraction conditions include solvent type, solvent concentration, the ratio of material and solvent, temperature and time extraction, ultrasonic power and ultrasonic time. The objective function is the total flavonoid content (mgQE / g dry matter). Experimental results show the relationship between the objective function and the extraction conditions with the level of significance (p <0.05). Accordingly, the total flavonoid content in Glinus oppositifolius was 24.72 (mgQE / g dry matter), methanol solvent 90% at 60°C in 2.5 hours  with material and solvent ratio 1/15 (w / v, g / ml). With the help of ultrasound, the total flavonoid content in Glinus oppositifolius reaches a peak of 28.47 (mgQE / g dry matter), with an ultrasonic power 35% in 9 minutes.
