SYNTHESIS, STUDIES COMPLEX OF LATHANUM, GADOLINIUM WITH MIXED LIGAND L-TRYPTOPHAN, O-PHENANTHROLINE AND APPROACH ON BIOLACTICITY

Abstract

  The complex Ln(Trp)3phenCl3.3H2O (Ln: La, Gd; Trp: L-tryptophan; phen: Ophenantroline)were synthesized and characterized in detail elemental ananlysismethod, IR spectia and thermal ananlysis . IR spectra indicated that the rare earthions are coordinated by both the oxygen atom from the -COO- group and the nitrogenatom from the -NH2 group from L-tryptophan and the nitrogen atom from ophenantronline.The antibacterial activity esting showed that all these complexesexhibited excellent antibacterial ability agains staphylococcu saureus, Bacillussubtilis, Lactobacillus fermentum, Salmonella enterica; Escherichia coli and Canclidaalbican.
