STUDY SYNTHESIS OF OXIDE NANO CoAl2O4 BY GEL GLYCINE COMBUSTION METHOD

Abstract

   CoAl2O4 power has been synthesised at low temperature (500oC) by the combustion ofgel prepared from glyxin, cobalt nitrates and aluminum nitrates. Factors affecting onprocess synthesis of nanometer oxides CoAl2O4 including temperature of gelformation, pH of the solution, molar ratio of concentration of ion metal and theconcentration of glyxin, temperature of calcining and heating time on structure andsizes were investigated. The crystalline process of oxides particles were considered byX-Ray diffraction (XRD). Further thermal treatment at 500 - 700oC for 2 hours yieldsthe single phase CoAl2O4. CoAl2O4 powders with crystallite size 10 nm have beenprepared.
