Abstract
Ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complex, [Ru(dpq)2(bxbg)]Cl2 where dpq is dipyrido[3,2-d:2',3'-f]quinoxaline and bxbg is bis(o-xylene)bipyridine glycoluril, is synthesized.Intermediates and the final product are confirmed by their melting-pointmeasurements and 1H-NMR characterizations. Molecular spectral of the complex arerecorded with UV-Vis and time-resolved fluorescent spectroscopy. It shows that[Ru(dpq)2(bxbg)]Cl2 complex has a basic electronic transition (MLCT) at max = 457nm, fluorescent lifetime = 590 ns and Stokes's shift = 163 nm. All analyzedphotophysical properties reveal the synthesized complex is an appropriate design usedas the fluorescent probe for detection of biomolecules.
