SYNTHESES AND STUDY ON CHARACTERIZATION OF2- HIĐROXYNICOTINATECOMPLEXES OF SOME HEAVY RARE-EARTH ELEMENTS

Abstract

    The complexes of rare earth ions with 2-hiđroxynicotinic acid (HNic) have beensynthesized. The characteristics of rare earth complexes K[Ln(Nic)4].3H2O; (Ln:Ho, Er, Yb ;Nic-: 2-hiđroxynicotinate)have been performed by elemetal analysis, IR,thermal analysis and mass-spectroscopy methods. The coordination modes of the 2-hiđroxynicotinic acid to Ln3+ centres have been investigated by IR spectra. Massspectroscopyshowed that the 2-hiđroxynicotinates are monomes.TG- curves indicatethat the complexes are stable up to a temperature of about 316-5100C.
