INFLUENCE OF SOME FACTORS ON QUALITY AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLASTIC PBX CONTAINING HEXOGEN AND POLYSTYRENE

Abstract

    The article reports results of preparation and effective investigation of the propertiesand ingredients of polymer binder systems as well as explosive composition on thequality and technical-energetic characteristics of the plastic PBX containing hexogenand polystyrene. Research findings show that, it is possible to prepare well-plasticPBX in normal conditions, initiated at detonator No8; the PBX have high chemicalstability, low impact sensitivity and energetic characteristics equivalent to those ofplastic explosive C-4.
